Easter Baskets: Two Perspectives

Our team members help plan Palermo's Easter Baskets for the Hungry and then come together in a massive one-day event to build and distribute the baskets. It's a great team-building exercise for all involved, as we work together to feed the hungry in our community. Check out the impact that Easter Baskets has had on our employee. Chad:

"I have had the privilege to have been involved in Easter Baskets for the Hungry for the past three years. The one thing that strikes me every year is the sincere gratitude from so many people in our community. These people need this help to feed their families while celebrating the Easter holiday. As volunteers we get hugs. high-fives and see our share of tears. It is amazing what this event is doing for our community. I am grateful to Palermo's for partnering with Hunger Task Force and the community, allowing me to give back in a small way."

Over the past nine years, we’'e distributed more than 13,000 Easter Baskets to the hungry. Check out the impact that receiving a basket had on one recipient.

"My family and I would like to say thank you for providing us with a meal we would not have had without your support. Your continued generosity is greatly appreciated. I'm a single mother of four young children and have no job, no income and little help from others. Just know this means the world to me."
