Palermo’s Pizza offers a comprehensive group of employee benefits. Our benefit package was created to offer you a balance of critical insurance protections and time off. This is a general overview of our benefit offerings.

HEALTH PLANS

Eligible employees are offered Medical insurance for themselves and for covered dependents on the first of the month following completion of a waiting period.

LIFE INSURANCE

Full-time employees are automatically covered by basic life insurance starting with the first day of the month following the completion of their waiting period.

DISABILITY COVERAGE

Full-time employees are automatically covered by short and long term disability insurance starting with the first day of the month following the completion of their waiting period.

RETIREMENT SAVINGS PLAN - 401K

Palermo’s offers employees the opportunity to save money for retirement from each paycheck on a pre tax basis or after tax basis (Roth). Eligible employees automatically receive a contribution, based on a percent of their salary, to their plan, whether they contribute themselves or not!

Young Family

PAID TIME OFF

Employees accrue Paid Time off (PTO) starting with date of hire. PTO is a combination of vacation, sick and personal time that is accrued on a weekly or bi-weekly basis to be used for time off.  Palermo’s also offers paid holidays.

OTHER BENEFITS

In addition to all of the above, Palermo’s also provides a number of other employee benefits:

  1. Vision Insurance: All employees are eligible to participate following the completion of their waiting period.  Covers prescription lenses, contacts, frames, etc. An eye exam is provided through the medical insurance.
  2. Section 529 College Savings Fund: Offers a way to save money for college, while saving on state taxes.  All employees are eligible to participate following the completion of their waiting period.
  3. Long Term Care.  Provides Long Term Care for all eligible employees and qualified others.
  4. Pre-Tax Flexible Spending Account: Health Care and Family Care Reimbursement Accounts
  5. Health Reimbursement Account (removed Pre-tax, because this is company paid)
  6. Educational Assistance through our Tuition Reimbursement Plan, Palermo Academy courses, and other external training programs.
