Plant Manager
Under the direction of the Vice President of Operations, the Plant Manager manages the operations and budgets of the plant as it pertains to the functional areas of manufacturing, sanitation, warehouse and maintenance.  The Plant Manager will also be responsible for direct staff and staff managed through others and the duties that pertain to creating a productive, quality-driven, highly effective workforce.

Requirements:

  • 4-year college degree and 5 to 7 years experience in Manufacturing Operations Management (food preferred); or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong financial acumen (budgets, financial statements, etc.)
  • Experience with manufacturing methods, process improvement programs and procedures required
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills

Director, Supply Chain
The Director of Supply Chain will effectively manage the daily activities and personnel in the demand chain planning, purchasing, warehouse, logistics and customer service departments to achieve high quality results that support the objectives of the business. This position will be required to lead the application of best-practices processes and concepts to ensure high quality outcomes that incorporate production planning, procurement, inventory and materials management concepts; The Director of Supply Chain will also use the company’s internal policies and procedures to solve problems in the supply chain process. The candidate must have demonstrated ability to identify and improve processes and tools related to all supply chain disciplines execution and maintenance. The candidate will operate collaboratively with all levels in the organization and report directly to the VP of Operations. 

Requirements:

  • 4-year college degree
  • 10+ years related experience in a manufacturing environment, including management level experience

Under the direction of the VP of Sales, the Sales Administrator will provide secretarial and administrative support to the VP of Sales, VP of Operations, VP of Administration and the CFO.  This person will be professional, presentable, personable as well as organized, dependable and flexible.  Sharp written and oral communication skills a must.

 Technical Services Manager
Palermo's Pizza is seeking an innovative and self-directed person for our Technical Services Manager role.  The right candidate will have a BS-Food Science (or, related field), 5 to 7 years experience in a food processing environment, management experience, and be HACCP certified.

Position Deliverables:

  • Commercialization process of new product from R&D to full scale production
  • Scale-up production recipes for new subassemblies
  • Train employees on new products and processes
  • Support HACCP program and compliance
  • Maintain customer specifications, surveys and audits
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and customer requirements
  • Develop shelf life programs for finished product
  • Validate baking instructions for all pizzas
  • Audit for compliance to recipes and procedures

Auditor
This position provides quality assurance support to the Manufacturing and Research departments to assure that products are manufactured to quality specifications as it pertains to the daily
documentation of production and/or packaging. This position is responsible for assisting employee training, GMP audits, and SOP audits, and Plant audits.

  • Associates Degree Food Science, Biology, or Science related field or High School Diploma or GED Equivalent and 4-5 years related experience

 Product Engineering Manager
Under the direction of the Executive of Operations, coordinate designs for the purpose of creating high quality, great tasting and economical production of our pizzas.   Responsible for the design, development, continuous improvement and application of new or existing products.  Examine new product specifications and designs, special customer applications or modifications of existing SKU’s for sound development and manufacturability principles. Monitor designing, styling, layout and all other pertinent detail to ensure accuracy and timely production.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science or related field, relevant Food Processing experience or a combination of applicable education and experience.
  • 7 to 10 years experience managing, leading and developing people.
  • Multiple food processing background a plus
  • Distinctive knowledge blend of food technology, product design, food manufacturing, and food safety.
