Celebrating Italian Culture & Family at Palermo Villa
The essence of Christmas day in Italy is la famiglia, l'amore e il cibo--family, love and food! At Palermo's it's tradition to celebrate family year round with our very special La Famiglia members, who understand the importance of good food and great company. At Christmas time that's what our Italian culture and family is all about.
This year, our family and Pizziolos are packing and sending out boxes of Homemade Italian Cookies to close family and friends--the gift of Italian tradition caught on tape in this short holiday video.
This Christmas we wish you all of God's Blessings for you and your family.

Palermo's is thrilled and honored to be a recipient of the 2009 Inner City Business Award by the Greater Milwaukee Committee. (GMC)
From the GMC press release, "Now in their sixth year, these awards are intended to drive innovation and action, transform thinking and accelerate inner city business investment by recognizing businesses making great strides in their quest for growth, expansion and prosperity in Milwaukee's inner city.
The 2009 Inner City Business Awards were presented by Mayor Tom Barrett, Mark Sabljak, Publisher of The Business Journal and Cory Nettles, Managing Director of Generation Growth Capital, Inc. Six winners were selected among more than 150 nominees."
Thank you to all Palermo's Pizzaiolo's for their contributions in this achievement!
Did you know South Carolina has a sister state in Italy? Well, when you read the results from a recent Charleston Post and Courier public taste test, it seems obvious. Primo Thin Margherita and Grilled Chicken Caesar varieties were sampled and South Carolinians loved the authentic Italian taste. Here's a comment from a satisfied tester:
"Tasty, fresh, crunchy ... SO, No more mouths filled with DOUGH!"
It could be the famous pie of legendary chef Raffaele Esposito of Naples that so impressed beloved Queen Margarita on her visit to the city in 1889. Or maybe the first real deep dish that came out of Chicago in the '40s. Might it be Palermo's Prim Thin?
We've got to be delusional to think a frozen pizza could be mentioned in a group like this, right? Well maybe, but consider this, Palermo's Primo Thin was just awarded the Gold Medal by The American Masters of Taste. Headed by world-famous Chef Jesse Sartain, and employing rigorous "triple-blind" testing protocol, the Primo Thin was judged to have "Superior Taste" in the category.
Maybe it's not as famous as the above pizzas, but when a frozen pie gets awards like this, it aspires to higher competition.

The cultures of Italy and Greece have intermingled since the days of the Roman Empire, when the Republic looked to ancient Athens for advice on philosophy, government, and how to live what Aristotle called "The Good Life." As a tribute to our Mediterranean neighbors, we offer our Primo Thin Greek pizza. Starting with our all-natural, ultra-thin crispy crust, we add a blend of Mozzarella and Feta cheeses, diced tomatoes, sliced green and Kalamata olives, diced artichokes, onion, then a sprinkling of Parmesan, Romano and Asiago cheeses.
...speaking of Goat Cheese--the creamiest of cheeses also graces this gourmet creation. Add to that our all-natural, ultra-thin crispy crust, fire roasted red and yellow peppers and roasted red onion and you have one special pizza. Enjoy!
Christmas is a time for family and traditions. The Fallucca family, who founded and continue to own and manage Palermo's Pizza, have an interesting take on Christmas dinner. At their house it's a traditional Sicilian meal called "The Feast of Seven Fishes." Watch the latest episode of Cooking with Giacomo to hear more about this delicious family tradition.
As the official or preferred frozen pizza of a number of college athletic programs including Wisconsin, Minnesota and Iowa State, we've traveled all over the Midwest, sharing our pizza with fans. Recently, our travels took us to Iowa City for the Iowa vs. Wisconsin game. Check out the video here.
Nestled in the Gulf of Naples, the beautiful island of Capri has been a popular resort getaway since the days of the Roman Republic. Our tribute to this Mediterranean gem is The Capri--Mediterranean Veggies & Feta--an all-natural, hearth-baked artisan crust brushed with Olive Oil, covered with Whole Milk Mozzarella and Feta cheeses, then topped with Kalamata Olives, Artichokes, Tomatoes, Eggplant and Zucchini.
For years Palermo's has provided your family with healthy and delicious meals at a reasonable price, and now, we're helping with something else: saving for college.

Portofino, Italy is a quaint fishing village in the province of Genoa on the Italian Riviera. Favored by tourists, Portofino is widely considered to be one of the most beautiful ports in the Mediterranean.
Likewise, our Portofino is one of the most beautiful pizzas in our lineup. Starting with our Hearth Italia, all-natural artisan crust, which we brush with olive oil and then add whole milk Mozzarella & Asiago cheeses, and top the whole thing off with White Meat Chicken, Pesto and Tomatoes.
This famous pizza style traces its roots back to Naples, where it was named for Queen Margherita, who was impressed by one she tried it on a trip to Naples in 1889.
Our take on this royal favorite begins with a robust tomato sauce on our all-natural, ultra-thin crispy crust. It's then topped with a deliciously garlicky mixture of diced tomatoes, a medley of Mozzarella, Parmesan and Romano cheeses and a sprinkling of Parsley.
Vinny's Pepperoni starts with our Rustico pizzeria-style thick crust, which is then smothered in our zesty tomato sauce--gives this pie a real kick! Then we add a blend of Mozzarella, Provolone, Parmesan and Romano cheeses. Then comes the meat: delicious sliced and diced pepperoni. Pick one up today!
